Drive Your Home Based Business Income Up 4 Ways
There are 4 ways you can increase the amount of income your home business is generating.
ONE: ATTRACT ADDITIONAL CUSTOMERS
This is often the FIRST goal of business - to find more first time buyers, but there are other revenue boosters and business builders so we will spend more time on them in this article.
But first two important questions for you:
Do you have a Customer Upgrade Path?
Do you have a Business Development Strategy?
These two business management tools could make a powerful difference to the income you derive from your home business.
TWO: INCREASE YOUR PRICES
After you raise the price, monitor the results to see if your overall revenue has increased. That can happen even with fewer sales. By selling at a higher per-unit price, your total income may increase even if you sell fewer units. And surprisingly sometimes you will move more stock after you raise the price. Seems odd… until you realize that people often assess the quality of a product by its price tag.
There are 2 ways to monitor the results but in both cases you will need to create a second web page that is identical in every respect except for the price and the tracking code.
1) If you are buying PPC (pay per click) traffic, send an equal volume of traffic to both offers and see what happens.
2) If instead of buying traffic, you are using articles and ezine ads to bring your visitors, you can put a counter (statcounter.com provides invisible counters for free) so you have the numbers you need to do the comparisons later.
THREE: ADD NEW PRODUCTS TO YOUR RANGE
Over a period of time, add more products to your inventory. These would be quality products (always sell quality products - nothing else) that solve other problems that your customers have.
The rationale behind this is that when you sell one of your quality products to a customer, you have started to establish a good reputation with that buyer. This gives you the edge in providing solutions to other business problems he or she may have.
What else do your customers need? Try brainstorming. Or survey them.
Develop your own customer upgrade path.
FOUR: ATTRACT MORE PROSPECTS VIA ARTICLE MARKETING
You will probably have heard or read that article marketing works. And by this, I mean that writing and distributing articles to promote or publicize your business.
Article marketing is a way to turn your words into profits. Article profits, no less.
But exactly how to do this?
Wouldn’t it be nice to sit on the shoulder of a successful exponent of this valuable skill?
Well, if you are looking for street-smart article marketing training that is do-able as well as comprehensive, Dylan Loh's Secret Article Profits is worth considering.
He's produced a 42 page report that presents clever techniques that I've never read anywhere else. And they are certainly working for this young guy from Singapore.
He takes you through the whole process, including:
* Find a market.
* Find a product that matches your target niche.
* Research your keywords. Dylan's tactics would have to be a significant part of the reason he's been so successful so quickly. These easy-to-do strategies are enough to make the difference if you've had lousy results from your article writing efforts so far.
The thing about article writing when you do it right is that each article you get published becomes a potential stream of passive income. Set it up once and it can help build your home business for a long time. That's the appeal that article writing has – you can earn passive income by leveraging the huge market reach of online giants like Google, EzineArticles.com and the other top 4 article directories that Dylan uses and recommends.
